We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction: . The Service Manager will Work with other teams within Infrastructure Services to provide sustainable stability and manage their cost and any risks whilst liaising closely with colleagues in operational functions. . The role of the Networks Service Manager is to be accountable for the allocated Services, ensuring the service meets the business needs and requirements and manages the service lifecycle. o Apply service management principles and practices for allocated service(s) within the following processes: o Service Level Management – to manage the service to achieve or exceed defined service performance standards o Financial Management – to manage service finance including review of actual vs. budgets and Revised Annual Forecasts o Risk Management – to manage service risk to acceptable levels o Escalation Management – to be a primary contact for service escalations from internal and external stakeholders regarding service or process delivery What will you be doing . Liaising with global third party Service Providers to ensure their access to systems, service requests and administrative requests are managed and maintained efficiently . Coordinate the production of the Service Management monthly pack, with key NETWORKS Service Managers, which supports Service Reviews with NETWORKS customers . Prepare ad-hoc documentation, including but not limited to quotations, Health & Safety documentation. . Keeping appropriate business system tools up to date. . A good team player, the ideal candidate will encourage colleagues to contribute but also have the ability to work within a team or alone to timescales . Commercial expertise and contractual awareness of Barclays Foundation Services product offerings . Ability to negotiate pricing and align support and maintenance contracts pricing to budgets . Competence to contribute to RFP proposals and understanding partner responses enabling to an award decision . Technical knowledge appreciation of Networking products such as, Extranet, Data Transport, remote access (VPN) Network Access Control, Switches, VLANs, LAN, Firewall, Load balancing and Wireless technologies etc. . Ensuring all work related tasks are completed in a professional and structured manner and all company process and procedures are followed . Be capable of liaising with other technology, business areas and 3rd party vendors in pursuit of resolving the Incident Problem or Change activities or communicating progress with teams within Barclays What we’re looking for: . Knowledge ITIL processes of Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement . Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced user of Microsoft Excel is essential as is the ability to work with large amounts of data . Strong communication skills to enable building of effective relationships across teams and other cultural regions within Barclays and key stakeholders . Evidence of organisational skills and the ability to multi-task whilst ensuring quality and attention to detail under strict deadlines . Evidence of working with third party suppliers Skills that will help you in the role: . ITIL Foundation Certification . A good team player, the ideal candidate will encourage colleagues to contribute but also have the ability to work alone to tight timescales . Experience within a customer service environment .
