About the team
Worldpay’s eComm Engineering branch specialises in delivering online payment services to our customers and are looking for Engineers to join our team and take our systems to the next level.Operating within a collaborative SAFe environment, we strive to deliver effective solutions for our customers using our evolving payment platform.
We are looking for a System Support Analyst to be a team player with our existing SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) team in supporting production environments as well as engaging with Development and internal stakeholders. The responsibilities of this role include assessing the current environment to identify opportunities for further automation, interacting with Development to provide assistance as well as awareness and learning the current BAU support model to aid in upskilling the team.
What you will be doing:
- Working with the vendor for Frontier (Fiserv) to understand the process of upgrading their Product Version without the help of any Dev Team. This requires extensive knowledge on the Frontier Product as this is a critical tool used by the Business for Reconciliation purposes.
- Working knowledge on the Oracle Database upgrades without the help of any Development or Vendor teams.
- Hands on working experience on WAS/IHS.
- Closely work with the Billing Operations Team to support the pricing and billing related feeds.
- Support for Business Critical jobs which if not resolved on time, impacts the Daily Billing.
- Deep understanding of all the Inter-related applications as this team must work with XAA, EDW and RMB Teams on a Daily basis.
- Ability to write Complex SQL queries and fine tune where necessary.
- Good understanding of Stored Procedures, Packages is required. This is to debug the Production incidents.
- Experience working with multiple cross functional teams (Database, Network, Server, IAM, Sterling etc). Understanding the Network terminology is a must.
- Hands on experience on IBM DB2 Database.
- Collaborate with the other internal teams (Development, Product, Platform etc) to distill Business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Knowledge in Payment Processing Domain
- Hands on experience on Java.
- Statements, notices, fraud letters, text files, emails, faxes, settlement reports etc are being generated and are sent to all of the Merchants via email.
- Understanding of Mainframe Knowledge.
- Daily monitoring of all the Batch jobs and SQL Agent jobs across all the applications.
- Daily Health checks and ensure all the applications are up and running fine.
- Support the Month end Billing process.
- Annual DR planning and exercise involvement.
- Have good experience on implementing Site Reliability Engineering approach, Automation and DevOps as a practice.
- Proactively opening bridge calls for faster resolution of Incidents.
- ServiceNow experience is a + as all Incidents and Changes are documented in this system.

- In depth understanding of the application (application, hardware, software, databases, systems, networks etc) knowledge is needed.
- Knowledge in Payment Processing Domain.
