He/she should be able to close sales in the areas. As a business development executive / manger, you’ll need to: 1. Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets. 2. Seek out the appropriate contact in an organization. 3. Generate leads and cold call prospective customers. 4. Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone. 5. Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients. 6. Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these. 7. Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business. 8. Work strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes. 9. Have a good understanding of the businesses’ products or services and be able to advise. Qualification *A Graduate from a reputed university *5 + years of experience *Good track record of sales *One has an attitude of a Winner Budget Open for the right candidate. There will a fixed component and variables and incentives based on the sales performance. This is reviewed and awarded quarterly.
