Introduction Oversight and management of the Par and distressed loan trade settlement, management of controls and key risk indicators, delivery against SLAs, managing volume with team planning, quality assurance and task completeness. What will you be doing . Oversight and management of the Par and distressed Loan Settlements and Servicing Team including: o Ensure timely and accurate settlement of all trades. o Ensure timely execution of life cycle notifications from Agent Banks with respect to agreed terms of facilities, including: drawdowns, repayments, rollovers, wire transfers, treasury funding and investigations. o Working closely with the US closing Team to ensure any handoffs are smooth and no gaps o Ensure remediation of FOBO and P&L cash settlement breaks on trades and work with key stakeholders to maintain the integrity of Trading Desk’s P&L. . Oversee all KRIs – setting targets and ensuring resolution to high standards . Develop and exercise business plans, policies and procedures, and lead projects, offer innovative solutions, process improvements and cost saving opportunities . Responsible for ensuring all activity is conducted in accordance with policy, procedure and appropriate controls . Identify process or procedural improvements within the organisation with both internal and external partners to create efficiencies. Must be versatile and demonstrate the ability to drive and resolve escalations while ensuring all stakeholders are satisfied . Strong understanding of the industry and business standards and practices of Loan Operations. Familiar with industry trends and market conditions . Appropriately articulate and assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Barclays, its clients and our stakeholders What we’re looking for: . Experience working within a loan trading/loan settlements process . Experience of people management and leading a team . Strong understanding of the loans business including distressed loans . Experience with accounting and reconciliation a plus Skills that will help you in the role: . Competent at handling demanding relationships with business units and clients . Must think independently and resolve potential issues for future processing while being able to work in a team environment . Utilises advanced communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues, management and internal/external clients, in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information in a concise and logical way . Familiarity with IT systems across the Lending ecosystem including Intellimatch, Delphi, ACBS, LoanIQ, GBS and any other appropriate platforms / applications.
