These programs are funded by USAID, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, David & Lucile Packard Foundation, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), MSD for Mothers, and other anonymous donors.Jhpiego is hiring for the position of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer based at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The position will work closely with the state office teams and India country office team for the implementation of the project MER plan. The project focuses on strengthening primary health care services in the state. The position will report to the State Team Leader.Responsibilities

  • Support in implementing the MERL plan for the project with guidance from the supervisor and the program team.
  • Support the state government health officials in their requests related to data management and
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices for M&E across the program, including data quality use in the reports.
  • Record and report progress against all indicators as per the MERL plan and steer the process of designing the tools for such progress reports.
  • Undertake need based visits to the districts to support implementation of MERL plan and to identify where adaptations might be needed.
  • Support field officers in data quality checks, documentation and analyzing reports for
  • Prepare reports on M&E findings as required, working closely with supervisor, program team and the
  • Support evaluation and research activities under the project – developing research protocols, drafting determination request forms, developing data collection tools, drafting other research related documents, and managing IRB submissions.
  • Support in writing program/research abstracts for conferences and the writing of scientific manuscripts for wider dissemination.
  • Coordinate and supervise field data collection for approved studies and support data
  • Draw up Terms of References (TORs) for partner organizations/learning partners to support specific project research studies with guidance of supervisor and program team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to achieve the project
  • Participate in the strategic planning and management of meeting. Workshops and training activities, follow up visits and evaluation activities.
  • Prepare monthly program progress reports/slide decks to share with various stakeholders including donors, and support in the program review process.
  • Support in the documentation of various project results, processes and development of success stories and fact sheets for strategic sharing and dissemination.

Required Qualifications

Full Stack Development Internship in Delhi at Association For Transparency, Governance & Public Grievances
  • Masters/Post Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology, Statistics, Public Health, Health Administration, Hospital Management, Demography, Population Studies or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years and above of relevant professional experience of working with international health programs/ organizations especially in the field of Monitoring, Evaluation and Research related activities.
  • Experience in drafting research protocols, developing data collection tools and conducting research studies in the health sector is a must.
  • Understanding of Global Health and development approaches with willingness to learn the technical side of program implementation.
  • Publications in peer reviewed international journals is
