Job description: Job Summary :A 4 star property in Silchar is looking for an energetic team player with exceptional sales skills. – The person will be in charge of developing a sales and marketing plan that includes but not limited to soliciting new group sales accounts and maintaining relationship with the existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals.Responsibilities :- Identify new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activity.- Generate new business, close deals and increase revenue by cold calling, on site visits and community networking.- Tie ups with booking platforms, travel companies and airlines for long term contract.- Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients to maximize revenues.- Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.- Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.- Knowledge of market trends, competition and key customers of the hotel.Requirements :- Graduate with experience of Sales in the hospitality industry.- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.- Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competing hotels within the market- Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.- Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.- The ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, public, guests, and vendors.
