Responsibilities : Research Strategy : Develop and implement a strategic research plan aligned with the company’s objectives and market trends. Identify research priorities, methodologies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of research initiatives. Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of researchers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration. Set clear goals and expectations, and empower team members to achieve their full potential. Market Analysis : Oversee the analysis of market trends, competitive landscapes, customer demographics, and industry developments. Utilize a variety of research methodologies, including quantitative and qualitative techniques, to gather data and extract insights. Insights Generation : Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and recommendations for senior management. Communicate key findings effectively through reports, presentations, and other mediums, highlighting implications for business strategy and decision-making. Strategic Planning : Partner with senior leadership to develop and refine business strategies, product roadmaps, and go-to-market plans. Provide strategic guidance based on research insights, market intelligence, and industry best practices. Client Engagement : Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their research needs and objectives. Act as a trusted advisor, delivering value-added insights and solutions to drive business outcomes and enhance client satisfaction. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, sales, and finance, to leverage research insights and inform decision-making processes. Foster strong relationships and facilitate effective communication across teams. Thought Leadership : Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in research methodologies. Share knowledge and expertise with internal teams, industry forums, and professional networks to enhance the company’s reputation as a thought leader in the field. Budget Management : Manage the research budget effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets. Monitor project costs, expenses, and ROI to optimize resource utilization and maximize value for the organization. Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the research function, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and deliver greater impact. Implement best practices and innovative approaches to advance the maturity and capabilities of the research team. Qualifications : Mater’s degree in business, economics, statistics, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 12 years of experience in market research, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role. Proven track record of successfully leading research teams and delivering impactful insights to drive business growth. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and extract actionable insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders. Strategic mindset with a deep understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscapes. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and performance evaluation. Client-focused orientation with a commitment to exceeding client expectations and building long-term relationships. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency in market research software and tools, such as SPSS, SAS, Qualtrics, and Tableau.
